The following
terms and conditions are laid out between Sovereign Ski and their
guests to ensure that there are no misunderstandings with the
process of booking a holiday or during their stay in Chalet du
Vallon. We recommend that you read through them before making
a booking.
Bookings and Payment
To accept a booking we must
receive a completed booking form with all the information requested.
The booking form must be accompanied with a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the chalet rental. The party leader must be aged 18 or over and be authorised
by the other guests in the party to book the holiday on their
behalf. The party leader signing on behalf of the other guests
guarantees payment of the full cost of the holiday for guests
named on the booking form and others which maybe added later.
The booking is for the entire chalet only (part bookings may only
be taken at Sovereign Skis discretion). Any empty beds will be
charged at full price. Should any part of the group cancel the
whole chalet booking still stands. Should the remaining guests
not wish to pay the full chalet price the booking will be considered
cancelled and cancellation charges as set out below will apply
for the whole chalet. Sovereign Ski reserves the right to re-sell
the holiday without further notification. The booking is confirmed
when guests receive written confirmation from Sovereign Ski, please
check that your details are correct upon receipt. Telephone bookings
will be held for 5 working days so that the booking form and deposit
can be returned.
Payment for accommodation is accepted by direct bank transfer only. Payment for ski passes and ski hire can
be done by credit card directly with the supplier.
Prices
Included in the price is accommodation for seven nights, breakfast, teatime and dinner for 6 days a week. Chalet staff receive one day off and can help arrange a restaurant for your evening meal. A complimentary bar of tea, coffee, soft drinks, wine and beer is offered through out the week. Prices
do not include travel, ski passes, ski hire, ski lessons, ski equipment,
transport, insurance, or any meals taken out of the chalet.
Children
The chalet is not suitable for young children therefore we cannot
accept children under the age of nine. Chalets are not child proof
and we cannot be held responsible for any accidents that may occur
in the chalet. Parents must be responsible and ensure that their
children are supervised at all times. We can organise independent
childcare prior to your arrival and recommend that you do so for
busy periods such as school holidays. There is a reduction of €100 per week for any child aged nine – thirteen.
Payment of Balance
Must be received 8 weeks prior to arrival date.
If booking within 8 weeks before the departure date the balance
must be paid in full when booking. Sovereign Ski retains the right
to cancel your holiday if the balance is not paid in full 8 weeks
prior to arrival.
Cancellation or Changes by Guests
You or members of your party
are entitled to cancel your holiday at any time providing that
the party organiser does so in writing. Your deposit will be retained
for administration charges and we will apply cancellation charges
as follows
More than
70 days/10 weeks before holiday start date = loss of deposit
69 – 55 days / 8-10 weeks = 25% of total
56- 42 days / 6-8 weeks = 50% of total
42 – 28 days / 4-6 weeks = 75% of total
28 days / 4 weeks before arrival = 100% of total
Should any part of the booking be changed or altered after confirmation
Sovereign Ski will charge a €30 administration fee.
Cancellation by Sovereign Ski
Should for any reason Sovereign
Ski be forced to cancel your booking a full refund will be made
payable.
Limitation of Liability
Guests’ personal belongings, including
ski equipment, remains in their charge for the entire duration
of their stay and should be covered by their insurance. Sovereign
Ski cannot accept any responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen
property.
Responsibility and Behaviour
When booking your holiday with Sovereign
Ski you accept responsibility for any damage to the chalet and
its contents, which maybe cause by you or any members of your
party. Full payment for damage must be settled before you leave
the resort. Guests are expected to behave in a manner that does
not upset other guests, staff or disrepute the reputation of Sovereign
Ski. We retain the right to terminate the holiday without prior
notice should unreasonable behaviour occur. We then relinquish
any responsibility for guests including no refund or expenses
incurred as a result of the termination.
Steam Room
Guests use the steam room at their own risk and are
forbidden to consume alcohol or take glass into the steam room
area.
Travel Insurance
The importance of the correct type of holiday
insurance cannot be stressed enough. Please ensure that you have
read your travel insurance policy thoroughly and fully understand
its terms and conditions. You may have an annual or work policy
but do not automatically assume that it covers winter sports.
You must have an adequate insurance policy to book with Sovereign
Ski and we retain the right to ask to see documented proof before
accepting a booking.
Transfers
Transfers will be provided for upto 8 people from one location per stay being Geneva/Lyon/Grenoble or the equivalent location. Similarily one location return at the end of your stay.
Travel
Sovereign Ski cannot accept responsibility for guests missing
aircraft, ferries, trains or transfers. Guests are responsible
for ensuring that they have all the valid travel documents needed
for their journey.
Complaints Procedure
In the unlikely event you have cause to complain or experience
any other problems during your holiday, please inform our chalet
manager. Until you inform us of a problem we cannot begin to resolve
it. Most problems can be dealt with quickly and on site. If however
there is still cause for complaint please state in writing no
later than 28 days after your departure your issues and we endeavour
to sort out any outstanding problems.
Third Party Activities
Sovereign Ski can help arrange many activities and extra services
for your stay all of these services are subject to the terms and
conditions of the individual companies, we can not take any responsibility
or liability for these services. Any problem with these services
should be taken up directly with the provider.
Accuracy
Sovereign Ski cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy
of information contained on their website. We aim to maintain
as much accurate information as possible be we cannot guarantee
details (especially information supplied by third parties) is
correct or complete.
Outdoor Shoes
Due to the conditions of ski resorts we ask that guests remove
their out door shoes and ski boots before entering the chalet
to ensure that the stairs and hallways are clean and clear for
everyone to use. We do provide slippers for your stay. We have
heated boot racks to store and warm ski boots and ample storage
for all out door shoes. We also recommend that you bring suitable
footwear for walking around in resort.
Smoking
The chalet is a smoking free zone.
